چکیده
With the vast development in the usage of Power electronic devices like Rectifiers (nonlinear loads) the current drawn from the line is distorted resulting in a High Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) and Low Power Factor (PF). Hence there is a continuous need for Power factor improvement and reduction of line current harmonics. The most popular topology for Active PFC is a boost converter as it draws continuous input current. This input current can be manipulated by Average current mode (ACM) control technique. The design and simulation of boost converter with ACM in continuous conduction mode is represented in

In recent scenario many appliances requires DC power supply. Hence to obtain the DC power from input ac supply, Power Electronics circuits like Rectifiers which is a non-linear load has to be used. The current drawn by these non-linear load will be phase will not follow the supply voltage (i.e non sinusoidal). This results in a High Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) and Low Power Factor (PF). A Power Factor Correction Using singleinductor dual-output buck-boost converter operating in critical conduction mode is proposed in this paper. Each output of the SingleInductor Dual-Output buck-boost converter can be regulated independently by multiplexing a single inductor, Compared with a conventional two-stage multiple-output converter, the singleinductor dual-output buck-boost converter b...
